To 3D Print or Not to 3D Print Part IV

Will this thread ever end?  Yes, this should be the last installment.  With my confidence at high levels I started to buy files.  I think that the best thing about purchasing files to print is that you are essentially getting an infinite number of figures for the initial price, you simply print as many and as often as you like.  Another trick to add some variety to your quickly growing armies is to use a mirror function and flip all of your files to get a second pose or look.  This temple dog is the same stl file just mirror flipped.

While there are a ton of “digital only” creators out there you also have the option for stl files from some well-established companies like Bombshell Miniatures and Wargames Atlantic.  The latter has not only digital exclusive figures but modification bits for their existing plastic ranges.  I’ve always wanted to have a WHFB 3rd Ed. Nippon ally contingent, so I snapped up their Ikko Ikki Warriors to use as Ashigaru and have every intention to buy their Armored Samurai as well.  I also have a couple of temple dog stl’s that I can use for the contingent leader.

Next purchase will be some of their Samurai and Mounted Samurai figures.  Guess I’m going to have to buy some paint!
